What is an RV Squadron Sunday Lunch?

Talking to the people who managed to get to Alvor it was clear that a more regular meeting venue would be very popular. Sunday Lunch sounds like a good idea to me! All we need is a venue.

The list above is take 2 as the initial idea of visiting airfields with free landing vouchers fell at the ‘catering quality’ fence. The idea is to make the destination a little more predictable and to minimise the disruption if the destination message does not get out in time. I suggest that we nominate 8 to 10 destinations and rotate around them every couple of months so that on any given Sunday we will always be in the same place. If we have an LAA or other RV relevant event such as the North Weald fly-in, then the normal Sunday lunch destination is suspended – but we can list that several weeks in advance. The idea will be to pick destinations with reasonable catering and also a good smattering of hard runways and spread around the country. The list will not be static, so if there are any suggestions (good or bad), send them to the RV Sqn Yahoo Group. In the winter we could cut the list down to hard runways only – denoted by (H) above?
